The sun cast shadows through the few cracks in the nursery. Huddled in the corner of a nest was a small yellow cub. His blue eyes were wide with fear as he stared at the entrance to the den, as if he was just waiting for something to come through there...something that would hurt him. In truth, that is what he was doing, though the something he was hiding from wasn't anything that dangerous. It was a bug. The fearful Hofu had ventured outside for a few moments, trying to overcome his fear of the outside world, but before he could even start to relax a bee had flown about three feet from him. But three feet was far to close for the cub and he raced back to the safety of his nest, hoping his worst enemy wouldn't follow him...

----

Kid had been outside playing, the remnants of the last rainfall had cause a large array of insects to collect throughout the camp. The small beige cub didn't mind them too much, but she did notice her older brother dart back into the nursery; although she hadn't caught why. Her eyes darted around slightly, feeling a little adventurous before she met Hofu's reason for running away. Bee. There it was, the ever was staring her down. Kid's eyes widened and her dark paws swiftly carried her into the nursery only to trip on a discarded ball of moss and to send herself crashing into Hofu.

---

The young cub was just starting to calm down when something raced into the den and landed on top of him. Paws flailing he jumped to his paws and bolted to another corner of the nursery. Eyes wide he stared at the thing that had attacked him, thinking it was a huge bug or something, but bugs weren't that color...Walking ever so carefully he raised his head to get a better look at it. Freezing he realized he knew who it was, and it certainly wasn't a bug, "A....Ani....what.....are you doing?" he asked slowly in his unusual deep voice, still shaking due to the shock.

---

The she-cat lifted her head, her eyes wide in horror, "T-theres-" Kid took in a large breath of air, having been winded when she fell onto Hofu, "There's a bee!" she cried, the cub's small frame shaking. Normally the beige female wasn't like this, infact, she was normally okay with bugs and other creppy critters; just not bees. Kid was currently hoping her older brother would go fight it off, destroy it, own it like a boss; but deep down inside her, she knew it was a short lived hope.

---

"A...a bee?" Hofu's eyes widened, it must have been that same freaky bee that attacked him earlier! Shaking, he turned his head towards the entrance and stared at it, hoping that the freaky creature wouldn't come in. Padding shakily over towards his sister the cub crouched down next to her and stared at the entrance, "Hope...hopefully it won't come...come in here..."

---

"Hopefully?" Kid squeaked her eyes wide as she stared at her brother, she knew that he was a little skittish about somethings, but this? "Hopefully?" the cub's voice cracked this time when she repeated it, adding to her tone of disbelief. The small cub was about to lose it, who else was going to take care of the bug? None of the adults would do anything and Kid didn't want to bother her mother. "Hofuuuu," she whined, "Please go kill it!"

---

"Wh....what? Me? K...kill it?!?" the young cub asked in his shaky voice, "No....no way!" His eyes were still wide and his yellow body was shaking like crazy. There was no way he could kill any bug, let alone a bee! "Bugs don't like nests.....I....I don't think so.....so....we should be....you know.....safe...." In truth Hofu didn't believe himself, but he wanted to try to help Kid calm down, even if it meant talking more than he liked...talking wasn't bad, but killing a bee was just impossible, especially for him!

---

The way Hofu was stuttering was starting to drive Kid crazy, she wanted believe him, but he was a horrible liar. The beige cub looked around before darting behind Hofu, why couldn't she just handle the bee? She was fine around other bugs! This just made her irritated along with her pounding fear of the insect coming inside the den. "But Hofu, what if it does come in?" Kidogo questioned, her eyes widening at the thought, they would be doomed wouldn't they? "Hofu, we need a plan." she decided with a firm nod of her head, the only thing that wasn't still shaking from the prior experience.

--

"A...a plan?" Hofu asked, not sure how a plan could work. If the bee came in they were pretty much doomed, unless they could somehow get out of the den before it saw them, and that wasn't very likely. "I....I don't....I don't know.....how would that help us?" he asked, voicing his doubts about the whole planning thing. It he was a little bit brighter he might understand the idea of a plan, but for him it just seemed like it would be a waste of time, it couldn't change the bee's mind, it would probably still attack them....Oh don't come in here bee, don't come in you hear me! he thought, somehow believing the bee could hear him thinking.

--

Kidogo had taken on a sort of authoritative role in that moment, her big eyes glowing as she took it on. "Plans always help Hofu!" This was a lie, but the cub didn't know that, but she kept rolling with it, "If the bee gets in it'll probably go after one of us, so it's just a matter of figuring out what to do and when!" She felt confident in this statement as she looked at Hofu, waiting for him to agree to it, to step up and be the brother she saw him as; someone cool, calm, and collected.
